The Easiest Way to Import Mox Bank CSVs into Xero

Optimized for Mox Bank All Account Types

Stop fighting with CSV import errors. Our browser-based tool instantly fixes Mox Bank’s formatting issues so your data imports seamlessly into Xero.

Why Mox Bank CSVs Fail in Xero

Mox Bank splits debit and credit into separate columns with mashed FPS descriptions that Xero cannot interpret. This causes Xero to either reject the import entirely or misinterpret your financial data, leading to incorrect balances and reconciliation headaches.

Manual CSV editing is time-consuming and error-prone. Even experienced bookkeepers struggle with Mox Bank’s non-standard format, often spending hours fixing data that should import in seconds.

Our Solution:

Our intelligent converter automatically detects and fixes Mox Bank’s formatting issues, transforming messy bank exports into clean, Xero-ready CSV files in seconds. No manual editing, no data errors, no frustration.

Mox CSV structure

Mox exports typically use 交易日期, 交易描述, 支出, 存入, 餘額. Debit and credit sit in two columns, so Xero cannot treat them as one signed amount. We collapse 支出/存入 into Amount (+ inflows, − outflows) and drop the running balance so it is not imported as a transaction.

FPS and mashed descriptions

Mox FPS lines look like “FPS / TRANSFER OUT / TO CHAN TAI MAN / REF 12345”. We pull the payee and reference out so Xero bank rec shows a person or merchant, not a slash-separated string. AlipayHK and WeChat Pay lines inside the Mox file are split the same way.

Virtual-bank feed gap

Mox’s Xero connection, when available, still misses transactions dated before the feed started. Export the history from the Mox app or web, clean it here, and import the backfill. Then reconcile so you do not duplicate anything the live feed already posted.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you clean Mox FPS descriptions?

We split “FPS / TRANSFER OUT / TO …” into payee and reference. Auto-pay lines such as 自動轉賬 - 中華煤氣 keep the merchant name instead of the whole raw string.

Mox already has a bank feed. Why export a CSV?

Feeds start from the connection date. Client onboarding, year-end, and audit work usually need months or years before that. The CSV is the historical file; the feed covers what happens next.

Do you support Mox personal and business accounts?

Yes. Any Mox CSV/Excel with a date, description, and debit/credit (or amount) column can be cleaned for Xero, QuickBooks, or Excel.

Is the Mox file processed on your servers?

No. The sample and your own export both run in the browser only.
