Does it support Traditional Chinese headers?
Yes. Our fuzzy matching recognizes both English and Traditional Chinese column headers. For example, 日期 maps to Date, 摘要 maps to Description, and 支出/存入 maps to Debit/Credit. This is especially important for HSBC HK, Hang Seng, Mox, ZA Bank, and payment apps like AlipayHK.
What if my virtual bank already has a bank feed?
Bank feeds are great for future transactions, but they often don’t pull in past data from before the connection date. If you need to import historical statements, our tool cleans those CSV/Excel files so they import cleanly into QuickBooks, Xero, or MYOB.
Can I use BankCSV Pro for audit preparation?

Why shouldn’t I open my CSV in Excel before uploading?
Opening and saving a CSV directly in Excel can convert large numbers into scientific notation, drop leading zeros, or corrupt Chinese characters. For best results, upload the raw, untouched export from your bank or payment app.
Why is there a 5MB file limit?
BankCSV Pro processes everything in your browser, so we cap file size to keep the experience fast and stable. If your file is larger than 5MB, split it by month and convert each file separately.
Why can’t I just use Xero’s built-in CSV importer?
Xero’s CSV importer is notoriously picky and frequently fails on real-world Hong Kong bank exports. It struggles with DD/MM/YYYY date formats, Traditional Chinese characters, split debit/credit columns, extra header rows with account summaries, and inconsistent column naming. Our tool pre-processes these messy formats into the exact clean format that Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB expects, eliminating import errors entirely.
